Cat TTRPG Idea #56

A warning of giants is usually expected; the thud of massive feet stomping over the countryside or ripples in a glass of water. However, one giant creature is known to move silently, its victims only realizing their danger at the moment they are swept up in its paw.

The giant cat stalks the land like a noiseless shadow, although leaving no shadow itself to give away its presence. It takes what it wants to play with or eat without warning and moves on just as quickly.

Those unlucky enough to face it can only hope to react quickly enough when the first attack comes.

Giant Cat

15 HP, 16 STR, 16 DEX, 12 WIL, bite (d8+d8), claws (d6+d6), detatchment

  • A giant black cat who stalks far and wide looking for prey and playthings.
  • Moves completely silently, hides expertly, and always attacks with the sun in its face to avoid casting shadows that would warn its victims.
  • Critical Damage: The victim is swept up to become a plaything, batted around by the cat and taking 1 STR damage every round until it can escape or dies.

Stats in the post are for Cairn, an adventure game about exploring a dark & mysterious Wood filled with strange folk, hidden treasure, and unspeakable monstrosities.
